Amygdala is a contemporary circus performance reflecting the human presence in the natural world; the artists recreate aspects of the changing earth using the materials and actions that are implicated in its change.

is a scenic space that includes the audience and evolves around it.

The performers mix the animate with the inanimate, the human with the inhuman, the circus body with the art object, to ultimately question the divisions drawn between these.

Inspired by the installation format exhibited in visual arts spaces, participants are submerged in an intimate and dynamic space which asks them to overcome the expectations of passive entertainment traditionally associated with a circus audience.
